The Jetty 2 Jetty Half Marathon & Fun Run, first started in 1986, is a cornerstone event in Queensland's running calendar. As the stateâs longest-running and most scenic fun run, it offers participants an unparalleled experience against the backdrop of the stunning Moreton Bay coastline.
Organised and delivered by Moreton Bay Region Industry & Tourism (MBRIT) in partnership with the Moreton Bay Road Runners, the event has grown substantially in popularity and prestige over the years. Today, it attracts over 5,000 runners, joggers, and walkers annually, making it a highlight of the regionâs sporting events.
The Jetty 2 Jetty features an IAAF AIMS (Association of International Marathons and Distance Races) officially certified course, ensuring it meets international standards for distance and quality. This certification not only enhances the event's credibility but also attracts serious runners from both domestic and international circuits, seeking certified courses for qualifying times and personal bests.
