I am excited to announce that we will have a new and hopefully much improved pricing structure starting on Monday 25th May.

Why do we need to change the pricing structure?Since I started the idea of SportUPs two years ago, I have put over $6,000 of my own money into building the website and the last two years of my life working on the idea.

Any profits after paying for venue hire, rising insurance costs, updating the website and paying organisers have gone back into the club. Our main expense has been cancelling a game due to not having the numbers as we still have to pay for venue hire.

As we are the first club, that I am aware of, in the world to exclusively offer Pay-When-You-Play games (please correct me if you know any others as I would love to hear about them) I am always working from your feedback to improve and grow our games.

What do similar games cost?If you wanted to play a similar game of Soccer at an Indoor Sports Centre it would cost you 18 without any subs and 14 dollars for Netball. They are profitable at this level as they can run lots of games on rotation all the way from 5pm to 10pm.

In addition most Indoor Sports Centres that I have been to don't offer any free games for inviting friends or discounts for regular players.

I initially hoped to provide similar games times from 5-10pm but as I have found out, rather obviously, no one wants to play really early games at 5pm or really late games at 9.30pm.

Our new Pricing Structure

Essentially each SportUP will now have two prices, one for the first ½ players booked, getting the EarlyBird price and one for the second half getting the normal price.

EarlyBird Price $12 ($13 for 6.45pm Games)Normal Price $14 ($15 for 6.45pm Games)

If you play regularly then we have 3 new better value Bundles:

Once a Week Bundle: 1 SportUP per week for 4 weeks $44 (each SportUP is $11)

Twice a week Bundle: 2 SportUPs per week for 4 weeks $88 (each SportUP is $11)

10 SportUPs in 10 Weeks Bundle: Get 10 SportUPs that you can use in 10 weeks (each SportUP is $11) Perfect if you work away for a week or two and then come back to Brisbane.

Unlimited SportUPs Bundle: As many SportUPs as you want for 4 weeks! $132 (3 bucks each SportUP if you came to every one :)

These bundles will replace the 1 dollar bonus credit per game as we have been able to get the bonus credit to work for single bookings but not consistently for multiple bookings through the shopping cart.

Why should we change this now?By providing an incentive to book early and a discount for regular players, I believe this change will help us to provide more well attended games each night.

If games get booked out earlier then it encourages more players to RSVP and this will hopefully allow us to provide more full games for you.

The new pricing structure will start on Monday 25th May, 2015.
